In October 2019 we celebrated 30 years since the founding of TRANS REID. It’s 30 years of hard work, stories told, partnerships, people, dedication, joys and much love. Company history cannot be told in a few word article, perhaps company history needs much more than words and the sum of them can write a book. A book, maybe one day.
With the anniversary of the company, comes the nostalgia and the memory of some stories and the purpose here is to report a little of the professional trajectory of TRANS REID and who knows at another time, we tell the stories and life experiences of a Brazilian company, service provider who has experienced 30 years of Brazil.
Founded in 1989 by four dreamy brothers who devised a serious transportation company that would offer industries safety, agility and quality. Unlike most carriers that were born of a truck driver, she was born of people who were on the other side, who worked in industries and wanted a professional and innovative company. It is not possible to talk about innovation without talking about technology. In 2002, the first technology system to monitor deliveries and control the company’s finances was developed, since then the technology is part of TRANS REID’s identity.
In mid-2006 some of the major customers changed state and needed a foothold to distribute their cargo in Sao Paulo, despite changing industries, their customers continued in Sao Paulo and to meet that demand and seize the opportunity that If he presented himself, the headquarters moved in 2008, because the physical space we used until then became small. The change was very beneficial and we started operating cross docking. In this regard, packaging or pallet recovery has often been and still needs to be done, and we specialize in this to reduce customer costs and deliver quickly. Companies located outside of São Paulo to remain competitive needed to maintain delivery times at the same time as competitors that continued with their initial headquarters. For this, Trans Reid has reinvented itself and meets the demand with quality, agility and safety.
In 2010, the company had a well-implemented quality program and the industries needed partners to meet the latest trend of the moment, the quality certification, ISO9001-2008. We prepared and the company got the certification. It was a very special achievement, because the company started to work with defined processes and matured a lot.
In 2013 came the opportunity to implement more technology and security for the field team, we acquired an application, mobile. This application gave real-time traceability to pickups and deliveries and enabled our customers to track cargo across the site and get daily reports on the status of each operation. This track record is available to customers and streamlines communication for everyone.
The 25th anniversary was celebrated in 2014. It is inspiring to look back at this moment and see an organized and structured company celebrating 25 years of transportation and logistics. To represent our pride in being part of this story, we created a new logo, an image that represents the joy of being in the market with a customer satisfaction indicator of around 96% and a customer portfolio of 80%. customers who came by referring customers, suppliers, friends and business partners.
In 2015, ABQUIM certified us with SASSMAQ to consolidate our experience of over 28 years of chemical transportation. In 2017 we acquired Anvisa. Keeping the initial purpose of being a company that offers agility, safety and quality we saw the need to obtain Anvisa and qualify our service. In 2018 we were ISO9001-2015 certified, reaffirming our commitment to quality.
This is our professional resume. Added to 30 years of service to companies in various segments of the market, with countless hours of training and qualification of the team and proud to have come here with the same purpose and commitment.
