In 1972, during the United Nations Conference on the Environment
Human Rights, the UN instituted the World Environment Day, which became
celebrated every day June 5th. This date, which was chosen to match
with the date of this conference, has as main objective
to draw the attention of all spheres of
environmental protection and the importance of preserving natural resources,
until then they were considered, by many, inexhaustible.
Numerous problems affect the environment, among them, we emphasize the
waste disposal, lack of selective collection and
overconsumption of natural resources, deforestation,
use of fossil fuels, waste of water and
soil depletion.
Here at TRANS REID, because our main service is
loads, where we use motor vehicles that consume gasoline and diesel,
because we generate inputs that can contaminate the environment, we work with
preventive actions to minimize damages. All our vehicles are
supplied with S10 diesel oil, far from ideal, but it’s what’s
currently offered for consumption. We use ARLA on trucks to
diesel, which is a reagent that is used in conjunction with the Reduction System
Selective Catalytic Analysis (SCR) to chemically reduce emissions of
nitrogen in the exhaust gases of diesel vehicles. All the
inputs generated by the company, from tires, used uniforms,
vehicles and the administrative building are discarded by an approved company,
and to that end, we have the CADRI (Certificate of Waste Movement of
Environmental Interest) is a document issued by CETESB (Companhia Ambiental
of the State of São Paulo) that approves the forwarding of waste of interest
environment to reprocessing, storage, treatment or
final disposition. We measure the emission of pollutants from the entire fleet
of the company through the DESPOLUIR program – Environmental Transport Program
is an initiative of SEST SENAT and the CNT (National Confederation of
Transport).
We believe that the awareness of people working with transport
can make a significant difference in preventing
environmental impacts. We celebrate and highlight the World Environment Day, as it is
a date that deserves a lot of attention. We want to be the difference that
we want to see in the world, doing our part, walking in our
own backyard.
We know that to make a difference, change must happen on a scale
world and that only one company can not change the world, but it is
fundamentally that each one should do his part and that the whole society should
compliance with environmental laws. We must all take a stand
environmental responsibility, because only then will we be able to change the
current. For more information, please contact us.
